Deputy Minister Buti Manamela Mr Buti Kgwaridi Manamela is the Deputy Minister in the Presidency responsible for
Planning Monitoring and Evaluation, Youth Development as well as the Administration.
Politically Deputy Minister Buti Manamela is a member of the Central Committee of the
South African Communist Party (SACP). He also serves as a member of the Provincial
Executive Committee and Provincial Working Committee of the ANC in the Limpopo
Province. Deputy Minister has been a Member of Parliament since 2009 and was subsequently appointed by President Zuma to serve as Deputy Minister in the Presidency in the fifth administration. During his tenure Deputy Minister Manamela has successfully seen through the signing of the national youth policy 2020. As the Political authority of the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) he is working on the amendment of the NYDA Act. He also chairs the following task teams: PRESIDENTIAL WORKING GROUP ON YOUTH
President Jacob Zuma appointed Deputy Minister Manamela to lead a team of 17
Deputy Ministers on the task team for the Presidential working group on youth. The task team consists of five wok streams, which are the main pillars of the NYP2020. The pillars are educations and skills development, economic participation and inclusion, health and substance abuse and optimization of the youth machinery. TASK TEAM ON CREATIVE AND CULTURAL INDUSTRIES The task team on the creative and cultural industries aims to accelerate the creation of a conducive environment for artists to contribute to the economy, job creation and general transformation of the country
