Ken Leid

  • Started his career in the Printing Industry, as a Process Engraver, in Zimbabwe in 1981
  • Moved to Cape Town in 1982 to further his education and training in the Industry
  • Gained employment in the Naspers group and qualified as a Photo Lithographer in 1985
  • Became Senior Training Officer of the group in 1987
  • Joined the PNPIETB in the December of 1990 as a Modular Training Development Officer
  • Developed 25 Competency Based Modular Trade Training Programmes for the Printing and Packaging Industry
  • Moved to Johannesburg in 1995 to take up the position of Director of Print Production of the Technikon SA
  • Moved back to Cape Town in November 1997 to take up the position as Director of the Cape Chamber of Printing SA
  • In December 2015 took over the National role of Training & Development at Printing SA
  • Currently working in partnership with the FP&M SETA to finalise the development of 12 QCTO Trades with their 25 derived occupational qualifications
