Makhosi Chiwashira is the Skills Development Manager at Media24 where she has been working in various development roles over the past 14 years. She has worked across SABC, Sunday Times and Deloitte since she arrived in South Africa in 1995.
Makhosi has a passion for developing people especially focusing on young people, women and people with disabilities. Over the years she has been at the helm of a number of ground-breaking programmes that have helped transform the South African media landscape. These include leading the funded digital publishing programme with over 200 independent publishers which won Media24 the Best Skills Development Provider of learners in rural areas and townships in 2016. She is currently running a Disability programme, a three-phase, two-year programme training people in journalism, communication and small business development. It has seen the learners start their own businesses. Makhosi has a Diploma in Training, Management Development Program through UNISA, she is also a qualified B-BBEE expert and a board member at FP&M SETA since April 2018.
